Resource Center Does
- Assist with access to legal information and resources
- Develop and provide Family Court forms and packets
- Explain Court process and procedures
- Assist with filing documents through an eFlex account
- Make general information available about the Family Court and Nevada Law
- Provide referrals to available legal resources and services within the Court and community
- Have the ability to assist patrons in 240 different languages
Resource Center Does Not
- Provide legal advice, representation, or take the place of private counsel
- Speak to judicial officers on behalf of litigants
- Refer litigants directly to specific private attorneys
- Evaluate cases or offer an opinion on what results can be expected

The Second Judicial District Court Resource Center is a proverbial “one stop shop” for information and assistance with court matters for those who represent themselves in Family Court. We help to provide the citizens of Washoe County with general information about court process and procedures, court approved forms and packets, assist with the filing of documents, as well as direct patrons to free legal resources in the community. Staff works directly with citizens in person, over the telephone and through email. We are located in the Family Court building at 1 S. Sierra Street on the 3rd floor.
