Mission Statement
The Family Services Division's mission is to support the goals of the Second Judicial District Court's Family Division and to provide effective programs and services for court-involved children and families that respects the individuality and diversity of families.
Acknowledgement
The Second Judicial District Court gratefully acknowledges Mr. Philip Dare whose generous bequest to the CASA Program in Washoe County promises to expand and strengthen volunteer advocacy for children under the jurisdiction of the court. For the past 30 years, volunteers working in CASA programs nationwide have played an important role in helping abused and neglected children go through the dependency process. Philip Dare's bequest to CASA supports this important work helping to bring positive changes to the lives of vulnerable children in Washoe County.
