Resource Center Does

Explain Court process and procedures
Provide Family Court forms and packets
Assist with organizing completed court forms prior to filing, including checking for blanks and page order
Assist with access to legal information and resources
Provide referrals to available legal resources and services within the Court and community
Assist patrons in 240 different languages

Resource Center Does Not

Provide legal advice, representation, or take the place of private counsel
Fill out court forms or draft legal documents on behalf of litigants
Assist with filing documents
Resolve eFlex account issues
Provide copies of the court record
Speak to judicial officers on behalf of litigants
Refer litigants directly to specific private attorneys
Evaluate cases or offer an opinion on what results can be expected

If you can afford an attorney, it is recommended that you retain private counsel to represent you in any legal matter.
