Biography
Emily B. Reed serves as the Assistant District Court Administrator, a position she has held since 2020. Ms. Reed is part of the Executive Leadership Team which is responsible for the overall management of court operations and personnel.
Ms. Reed received her Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, cum laude, and has a B.S. in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno. Ms. Reed was certified as a fellow of the Institute for Court Management at the National Center for State Courts in 2023. She is a member of various organizations including the Nevada Association of Court Executives, the National Association for Court Management, The Conference of Court Public Information Officers, the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association, and the Washoe County Bar Association.
Since Ms. Reed joined the District Court, the Law Library has been awarded the Collaboration Award and Community Partner Award from Nevada Legal Services. Ms. Reed has also received the Patriotic Employer Award from the Office of the Secretary of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, the Early Career Professional Award from the National Association for Court Management, and the 2018 Champion of Justice Award from Nevada Legal Services.
