
Biography
Barbara Keyl has been with the Second Judicial District Court since 2021 and serves as the Litigant Services Manager, a position she has held since 2022. As Litigant Services Manager, Ms. Keyl oversees the Resource Center, which assists members of the public in navigating the complex legal system, and the Protection Order Help Center, which assists the public in applying for and responding to temporary protection orders.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Keyl worked for many years as an attorney in Las Vegas, Nevada, practicing primarily in the area of family law. She was also a university-level German instructor and has native fluency in German. Ms. Keyl received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the William S. Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas, Nevada, and received her B.A. in German Literature from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Ms. Keyl has spent most of her life in Nevada and loves living in the desert. She enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
